School of Earth and Environment
The UWA Geoscience Foundation was created to support geoscience at UWA by alumni and other individuals and companies.
The foundation was established by UWA Geology Alumni Association and is administered by the Hackett Foundation.
It provides an opportunity for UWA Geology Alumni to give something back in recognition of the opportunities that followed graduation from the University.

To achieve excellence and sustained international recognition in geoscience teaching and research, particularly in areas aligned with the strategic needs of the State, such as minerals, petroleum, groundwater, environment and climate change.

Donations
Donations and pledges can be made for any amount, over any period.
- Funds will only be directed to those areas that can deliver sustainable strategic benefits.
- A key objective is an increase in the output of high-quality graduates and postgraduates with strong generic skills.
- There is also an obvious need for the Geoscience Discipline Group to develop some additional capabilities in research and postgraduate education, particularly in petroleum geology and groundwater, while maintaining its traditional strengths in minerals.
