Scholarships aimed at encouraging intending or current honours students.


Why do honours?

Completing an honours project allows you to demonstrate to potential employers that you are:

  • a high achiever
  • committed to realising your goals
  • able to take responsibility for a project
  • work to a high standard.

It is also a necessary step to postgraduate research.

Honours is a final, research intensive year of study that provides the development of skills necessary to work effectively in a scientific career.

To be eligible, you must have completed a Bachelor of Science degree and obtained at least 65% in your science major.

Applying for honours

Current and previously enrolled UWA student apply for honours online through Student Connect.

Students who have not been previously enrolled at UWA must apply through the Admissions office.

SEE can supervise projects done through the Department of Environment and Conservation, Rottnest Island Environmental Management and the Fire and Emergency Services Authority.
